Y, para finalizar el año, desde Críticas De A Pie hemos querido compartir con vosotros nuestra selección de las películas que han sido el top ten del 2013.

Nota para el avispado lector: Puede que alguna de las que echéis de menos no la hayamos visto todavía y por eso no se encuentre en nuestra lista. (:

La Vida de Adèle

Sin duda, nuestra favorita del 2013 por ser innovadora, atrevida, romántica y real. Cinematográficamente se puede decir que es una de las apuestas más arriesgadas del año con resultados mucho más que satisfactorios.

You’re Next

Como fans incondicionales del género de terror, no podía faltar una pequeña selección de ellas en nuestro top ten del 2013.

Se trata de un imprescindible por ser completamente diferente a lo que el espectador está acostumbrado. Es una película de bajo coste que comienza pretendiendo ser terrorífica pero acaba siendo totalmente gamberra.

The Conjuring: Expediente Warren

El nombre de James Wan resulta ya sinónimo de acierto en este género y evidentemente no podía faltar en nuestra recopilación del año. Se trata de nuestra favorita de dicho director. Es una producción técnicamente excelente y con un reparto muy acertado. Terror en estado puro.

Blue Valentine

Otra de las películas que lamentablemente ha pasado inadvertida en este 2013 para el público pero no para nosotras. Este drama independiente está en nuestra lista del año por ser cariñosamente emotiva a la vez que emocionalmente cruda y melancólica. Es de esas películas que te dejan con un mal cuerpo después de verla pero que a la vez te hacen reflexionar sobre el amor.

Cabin in the Woods

Tuvimos el placer de verla el año pasado en el Festival de Sitges y fue una de nuestras favoritas de la edición. Es una pena que haya tardado tanto en llegar a la gran pantalla en nuestro país ya que no ha conseguido tener tanto público como se merece tal producción.

Está en nuestro top ten por ser una película con una vuelta de tuerca en la que resulta ser una sátira perfecta del género de terror.

Evil Dead

Gracias a Evil Dead se ha visto redefinida la palabra remake. Al lado de su definición, en el diccionario debería de aparecer el título de esta película como buen ejemplo ilustrativo.

Y se trata de un remake excelente por no pretender ser una copia de la antigua sino ser una versión moderna con su propia esencia.

Gravity

No podía faltar en nuestra selección esta experiencia visual a la vez que angustiosa. Con unos efectos especiales totalmente innovadores, resulta imprescindible verla en 3D para vivir la historia plenamente. Se trata de una de las películas del año sin lugar a dudas.

Don Jon

El debut de Joseph Gordon-Levitt como director en un largometraje ha dado mucho de qué hablar. Don Jon es una película que te gusta o no te gusta, pero no te deja indiferente. Y, evidentemente, a nosotras nos ha encantado y por eso está en nuestra selección. Es una fresca crítica a la sociedad actual, totalmente diferente a las películas a las que estamos acostumbrados a ver.

 

Antes del anochecer

Con este largometraje se cierra la trilogía romántica. Es una de nuestras elegidas en este género por tratarse de una historia natural, moderna y divertida a la vez que melancólica, cínica y real. La completan los sinceros diálogos tan comunes en una pareja que consiguen que el espectador se ponga de pleno en la piel de los personajes. Nos gusta porque, después de haberla visto, nos sigue haciendo reflexionar.

 

 

Keep the Lights on

Para finalizar nuestro top ten del 2013, no podía faltar esta producción indie.

Consigue emocionar al espectador quizás por el hecho de saber que se trata de una historia real de amor que le sucedió al mismo director de dicha película o quizás por la honestidad y autenticidad de los personajes (que, aunque sean gays, se puede trasladar a cualquier tipo de relación). Pero la realidad es que no deja a nadie impasible.

La Vie d’Adèle

With no doubt, our best film from 2013 for being innovative, daring, romantic and real. It can be said that, cinematically, is one of the riskiest bets of the year with more than successful results.

You’re Next

As diehard fans of the horror genre that we are, it could not miss a little selection of them in our top ten of 2013.

It is a must because it is completely different to what the viewer is used to. It is a low cost film that starts pretending to be scary but ends being totally naughty.

The Conjuring

The name of James Wan is now a synonym of success in this genre and, obviously, it could not miss our compilation of the year. This is our favorite one from that director. It is a production technically excellent and a very accurate cast. It is fear itself.

Blue Valentine

Another film that unfortunately has gone unnoticed in this 2013 for the public but not for us. This independent drama is in our list of the year for being affectionatelly touching while emotionally raw and melancholy. It is one of these films that leave you with a bad feeling after watching it but, simultaneously, make you think about love.

Cabin in the Woods

We had the pleasure of watching it the last year in the Sitges Festival and it was one of our favorites from that edition. It is a shame it has taken so long to come to the big screen in our country as it has not managed to have the public that deserves such production.

Cabin in the Woods is in our top ten for being a film with a twist in which turns to be a crazy satire of the horror genre.

Evil Dead

Thanks to Evil Dead it has been redefined the word remake. In the dictionary, next to its definition, it should appear the title of this film as a good illustrative example.

And it is an excellent remake for not pretending to be a copy of the old one but a modern version with its own essence.

Gravity

We could not miss in our selection this visual while agonizing experience. With a completely innovative special effects, it is a must to watch it in 3D to live the story without missing a detail. This is one of the films of the year without any doubt.

Don Jon

The debut of Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a director in a feature film has given a lot to talk about. Don Jon is a film that you like or you don’t, but it does not leave you indifferent. And, it is obvious, that we loved it and this is the reason we selected it for our ranking. It is a fresh criticism of the current society, totally different to the films we are used to watch.

 

Before Midnight

With this feature film it is closed this romantic trilogy. It is one of our chosen in this genre because it is a story natural, modern and fun while melancholy, cynical and real. It is completed for the sincere dialogs so common in a couple that manage to put squarely the viewer in the skin of the characters. We like it because, after watching the tape, we keep thinking about it.

 

 

Keep the Lights on

To finish with our top ten of 2013, we could not miss this indie production.

It touches the spectator maybe for the fact of knowing it is a true love story that happened to its director or maybe because of the honesty and authenticity of the characters (which, even being gays, their story could be traslated to any kind of relationship). But the fact is that it does not leave anyone unmoved.
